Bakuology
Bakuology is a modern educational project that transforms the study of Baku's history, culture, architecture and urban development into a multimodal learning experience for middle- and upper-school students, including both local and international learners. It responds to a clear problem. Materials about Baku are often fragmented, text-heavy and difficult to adapt to different languages, levels and ways of learning. The project combines a course book, workbook and teacher's guide with AI-supported audio, video, translation and other digital resources. Historical content is organised around inquiry, source analysis, critical thinking, discussion, research and project work rather than passive memorisation. The workbook helps students apply and investigate what they learn, while the teacher's guide supports classroom implementation. AI is used as an enabling layer within the publishing and learning workflow. It is used to develop accessible audio versions, support multilingual adaptation, create selected visual and video learning materials, and help transform core content into formats suited to different learners. Human authorship, historical verification and educational judgement remain central. AI outputs are reviewed before publication. Bakuology is developed as a complete educational ecosystem rather than a single digital product. Its aim is to make local history more engaging, accessible and scalable, while demonstrating how AI can extend a carefully researched educational resource without replacing academic responsibility or teacher expertise.

- Bakuology uses a combination of generative AI tools across its publishing, audiovisual and editorial workflow. GPT-5.6 Sol was used to prepare audiobook scripts from the human-authored course material and to convert and structure these scripts for EPUB production. ElevenLabs was then used to create the audiobook narration. Higgsfield was used to produce promotional and educational video content. HeyGen was used to translate interviews, helping make original interview material accessible across languages while preserving the underlying human-produced content. GPT-5.6 Sol was also used to create selected images and visual materials for the books and supporting resources. For editorial quality control, Claude and ChatGPT were used in parallel to identify language, consistency, structure and editorial issues. Their outputs were cross-checked rather than accepted automatically, allowing the authors to compare suggestions and make the final editorial decisions. AI therefore supports several stages of production, including scripting, EPUB preparation, audio, video, interview translation, visual creation and editorial review. However, the process remains human led throughout. The authors determine the historical content, pedagogy, structure and creative direction. AI outputs are reviewed, compared, corrected or rejected where necessary, and historical accuracy and educational suitability remain the responsibility of the human team.
